A Home Based Business Means Quick, Easy Money...And Flying Pigs!

Oh yeah, here come those wonderful flying pigs!

Where does it ever end? I've been involved with Internet-based home businesses for several years and I continue to be exposed to a seemingly endless barrage of offers (all costing me money, of course) claiming to be "the secret" for making a fantastic income, in a very short time, and with very little effort involved.

I must admit that I may have a slightly self-serving reason for addressing this topic. My articles are published on my home-based business websites for the purpose of trying to give prospective team members a true sense of what is really involved with starting and developing a successful home based business.

The self-serving part, I suppose, is that I want people joining my team to have the straight scoop going in so that we don't waste each other's time. I admit to being selfish in this regard (I don't want to waste time working with people that have unrealistic expectations), but it is also very efficient for both parties involved, so it is not a totally one-way thing.

Now, back to the topic at hand. There's no magic here, folks.

Once you have selected the home business that you are going to pursue, there are no substitutes for time and effort in developing your business. A dream of being an "overnight success" is just that, a dream.

I can tell you from personal experience, that once you "pay your dues" and begin to have real success with a home based business, it is really terrific. Think about Nirvana or Valhalla, take your pick, but in any event it's really sweet.

When I started developing a home based business, making a good income was obviously an objective, but I also had other sub-objectives. One of the most important things was to have nearly total time flexibility (I mean, if I was willing to continue to wear the 9-5 Mon-Fri collar I could just have just stayed in the previously "traditional" work force).

Time flexibility was (and still is) a "biggie" for me. Many people working at home have the same need for various reasons.

For work at home moms, a home business can be a real godsend to accommodate the hectic time pressures, particularly when the kids are quite young and mom is also spelled "transportation".

In my own particular case, the reason is not quite so noble...I just want (need?) to be able to pick up my fly rod and go fishing at a moments notice (sometimes I'll be gone for a week or two at a time, but now the business has enough momentum that it keeps on operating just as well as if I were here tending to it on a daily basis).

Bear in mind, I am only able do the breakaway thing now that I have put in all the up-front time and effort and now have developed enough kinetic energy in my home-based Internet business to be able to enjoy the fruits of my labor.

Throughout history, a variety of outside influences and internal preferences have motivated women across the globe concerning their choices in clothing. While obvious factors, such as protection and warmth are some of the reasons why a woman puts on the attire she chooses in the morning, clothing also serves as a powerful way to express and communicate identity. Below you will find some of the reasoning behind today's clothing selections and fashion pertaining to women:

Modesty

While the concept of modesty is different for each and every place in time, over the years it has played an important role in women's fashion. In various parts of the world and time periods, it was frowned upon or forbidden for a woman to show off her legs, shoulders, back, and cleavage. While the United States no longer enforces strict social policies on women and the clothes they wear, some cultures still uphold the aspect of modesty in women's fashion.

For instance, Muslim cultures expect women to cover most of their body while in public. This has created a wide-ranging market of lengthy and concealing garments in cotton, wool, polyester, silk, rayon, and denim. Common attire includes Hijab underscarves, long lycra gloves, abayas (long cloak-like garments); and jilbabs (outer- and overgarments including long robes and coats).

Beauty and Seduction

One of the main reasons a woman slips into the sultry black dress for a cocktail party or chooses a pants suit that matches her eye color is to create an attractive appearance. Over time, the ideal of beauty has changed within different cultures, where cleavage-bearing blouses, tight skirts, and high hems no longer bind women's fashion. The perception of beauty is different for all, where an increasing amount of women forego dressing to impress others, and now choose their clothing according to what makes them feel attractive and alluring.

Depending on the wearer, a clean black business suit with a crisp white collared shirt is just as appealing as a full-length formal gown. Sometimes, just the right accessories add a seductive finishing touch, such as a pair of dangling earrings or eye-catching open-toe shoes. Attitude and self-confidence also helps to heighten a wardrobe, which is very beautiful and seductive in its own right.

Status

Women's clothing choices are also motivated by their status or position within a social group, as some pieces call attention to a specific affiliation. This is seen in the skirts worn by a college tennis team or the elaborate robes worn by members of African tribal royalty. In the United States, corporate executives, lawyers, and other high-income career positions are often identified by the type of clothes worn.

Ceremonies

Various forms of women's fashion are set aside for specific ceremonies and occasions that mark significant moments in her life. This is seen in the common attire for weddings; the gowns of a debutante ball society; or the quincereana evening dresses for 15-year-old Latina girls. These dresses are often elaborate, flashy, classic, or once-in-a-lifetime garments that hold special meaning.

Current Fashion Trends

In the United States, women often follow the latest fashion trends, whether it is cutting their hair like a celebrity (ie. Halle Berry or Jennifer Aniston); choosing a designer purse (ie. the patchwork Coach bag or the Birken); or selecting clothing that matches the newest "color of the season."

The non-cosmetic clinical indications for the use of breast implants are for breast reconstruction, sex reassignment surgery, and for abnormalities, usually congenital, that affect the shape and size of the breast. Non-clinical indications, which are the most common reason women get breast implants, are considered cosmetic and are not covered by any health insurers. And of all the breast plastic surgery procedures performed in 2006 in the United States, 329,000 were for breast augmentations.

Back in 1962 the first woman was implanted with silicone implants. There are two primary types of breast implants: saline-filled and silicone-gel-filled implants

Doctors Thomas Cronin and Frank Gerow, two Houston, Texas, plastic surgeons, developed the first silicone breast prosthesis with the Dow Corning Corporation in back in 1961. Current saline implant devices are manufactured with thicker, room temperature vulcanized shells. There have been several types of breast implants developed other than the two most common, saline filled and silicone gel filled, including polypropylene string and soy oil, but these are not commonly used, if at all; leakage of oil into the body during a rupture would not be good..

Because the saline implants are empty when they are surgically inserted, the scar is smaller than is necessary than for the silicone gel breast implants which are already filled with silicone before they are placed. Saline-filled implants are the most common implant used in the United States due to some restrictions on silicone implants. This may change. They are seldom ever used in other countries. Silicone gel implants have a silicone shell and are filled with a viscous type silicone gel.

An intracapsular rupture can progress to outside the capsule, called an extracapsular rupture, and it is generally agreed that both conditions indicate the need for removal of the implant. Since the early 1990s, a number of independent reviewers have examined studies concerning links between silicone gel breast implants and systemic diseases and the consensus of these reviews is that there is no clear evidence of a causal link between the implantation of silicone breast implants in breast plastic surgery and systemic disease. It is always good to know who is funding these studies and that should clearly be stated.

Countries outside the United States have not endorsed routine MRI screening, and have taken the position that MRI's should be reserved only for cases involving suspected clinical rupture or to confirm mammographic or ultrasound studies that suggest rupture.

When silicone implants rupture they rarely ever deflate, and the silicone from the implant can leak out into the intracapsular space around the implant. Thousands of women claim to have become ill from their breast implants. These complaints include neurological and rheumatological problems. When breast implants are removed that have been implanted for a long period of time, a mastopexy is often performed to tighten up the loose skin. This is additional surgery usually done at the same time and at an additional expense.

One study reported that only 30% of ruptures in asymptomatic patients are accurately detected by experienced plastic surgeons, compared to 86% that were detected by MRI. The age and design of the implant is an important factor in rupture, but estimating rupture rates of contemporary devices has been difficult for a variety of reasons, mainly because implant designs have changed somewhat over time.

Local complications that happen with breast implants include post-operative bleeding, fluid collections, surgical site infection, breast pain, alterations in nipple sensation, interference with breast feeding, visible wrinkling, asymmetric appearance, wound dehiscence with potential implant exposure, thinning of the breast tissue, and disruption of the natural plane between the breasts.

Manufacturers and doctors are required to let women know that implants are not permanent devices and that most recipients will probably need additional surgery to replace or remove their implants.

And make sure the plastic surgeon you choose, if you decide to do so, is board certified. Some doctors in specialties other than plastic surgery, like dermatologists, perform breast plastic surgery like breast augmentation. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon instead. And it's just a reminder that breast augmentation is an elective cosmetic breast plastic surgery. Make sure to be aware of all the risks and complications and ask others who have implants for an honest evaluation of their experience.
